HAMLET & OPHELIA is a new adaptation by Maya Danks. Offering a new look at one of Shakespeare's greatest tragedies, this script emphasizes the doomed romance at the center of the famous Danish prince's story. Danks incorporates segments of Shakespeare's other plays to fabricate entire scenes that reimagine the story of Hamlet and bring Ophelia's perspective to the forefront. Comprised of text from over twenty of Shakespeare's works, this script gives Ophelia the words to say what she never could before.
